The castle still sitting on the hill like it owns the weather. Three days of bridges, a clock that performs, and beer that does not need a speech.
Prague is orange trees against spires if you come in fall, grey stone the rest of the year. The bridge is a crush. The river is the quiet. I walked both and still owe St Vitus the inside.

A castle ticket, a clock that does not need one, and beer that is cheaper than caution.
Walk it at dawn. The rest of the day is a market with statues. Malá Strana on one side, Old Town on the other.
A hill, a cathedral, a changing of the guard. Circuit tickets on the castle’s own site. St Vitus is the interior I still owe myself.
Walk-up. The show is short. The tower is a separate climb if you like roofs.
Free, painted, across from the French embassy. Five minutes, or an hour if you like watching it change.
Josefov. Jewish Museum tickets cover the other sites; the synagogue has its own door. Go with time, not a checklist sprint.
An island park under the bridge. Sit. The city is loud above you.

Christmas markets and May: book the second you know. Otherwise 4–6 weeks. Castle hotels cost the view.
Old Town — the clock, the prices. Malá Strana — under the castle, cobbles, nights. Vinohrady / Žižkov — trams, actual restaurants, kinder rates.
Tram, not a taxi up the castle road. Lunch specials. A beer hall that is not on the square.
15–22°C, gardens, a city that photographs easily. Crowds at the clock. Still easy to like.
Warm, packed bridges, long light. Go early to the castle. Hide at noon.

Old Town to the bridge to Malá Strana is a pedestrian day. The castle is a hill. Shoes.

The astronomical clock performs. Apostles, a skeleton, a crowd that came for the show. Watch once. The square is the rest of the day.

Prague Castle is a complex, not a single door. St Vitus from the outside was my version. The interiors are still unpaid homework.

Kampa is the park the bridge forgets. The Old-New Synagogue is a few minutes of honest quiet in Josefov — oldest active synagogue in Europe, still working.
Three days is a first draft. These are the rooms I didn’t get into — the ones I’d book first if I went back tomorrow.
I did the hill. I did not do the stained glass. Next time the castle ticket includes the cathedral and I go in.
I drank. I did not sit for the long table version. U Fleků or a less famous room — the point is the hours, not the name.
A hill, a tower that is not the castle, a garden. I stayed on the monument circuit.
The other fortress, the other view. Quieter. I ran out of days before I ran out of hills.
I watched from the stones. The tower is the roofs. Still unpaid.
The synagogue was a stop. The cemetery and the museum circuit are a morning I did not give.
I stayed inside Prague. These are the leaves that actually fit — train if you can. Český Krumlov is a long one.
Bone church, a silver town, a train. The easy extra day. Book the ossuary if you want the famous room.
