Pyramids at dawn, Frida’s blue house, trajineras, mezcal, and ~2,250 m of thin air. Five or six days is a first draft of a city that keeps talking.
Mexico City overwhelmed me the good way — Teotihuacán stone, Frida’s rooms, trajineras, Bellas Artes marble, street tacos that recalibrate dinner. Culture isn’t only in museums here. It runs the sidewalk. Altitude is the quiet tax.

Dry season, 14–26°C. Clear sightseeing weather. Day of the Dead if you hit early November.
Afternoon showers, greener parks, lower rates. Mornings often clear. Pack a light shell.
Altitude keeps extremes rare. Layer. Sunscreen even when the air feels mild.
Day of the Dead, Independence Day, Christmas lights — book beds early if that’s your frame.

Five or six days still miss rooms. These are the ones I’d open first next time.
I caught pieces. Secretaría de Educación Pública and a slower National Palace morning are still owed.

NightCastle, lake, more museum wings. I used the park as a corridor to Anthropology and left too soon.
