Veda with the Hollywood sign behind her

LOS ANGELESA week of parks, hills, and a pier at the end.

Disneyland to Hogwarts, a boulevard of stars, illusions that break your brain, and the Pacific when you finally need air.

Not only Hollywood.
A city that takes a week to admit its size.

LA captured me across freeways: a mouse-eared day in Anaheim, stars underfoot on Hollywood Boulevard, rooms that lie to your eyes, a hill with the sign, a studio that sells the movies back to you, and a pier when the week finally exhaled. A rental car is not optional. Seven days is a first honest pass.

Where I actually went.

Every tagged stop is on the map. All pins shows them together — tap a name to zoom in. Disneyland sits in Anaheim; treat it as its own day. Driving, not walking, connects most of this.

Intel

The useful layer — park tickets, Genie-style line-skipping, and why Metro alone will not save a week here.

Disneyland

Anaheim, not LA proper. A full day minimum. Childhood, engineered. Coco found me in the park whether I planned it or not.

Walk of Fame

Hollywood Boulevard, stars underfoot, tourist density maxed. Go once. Hunt your people. Leave before the street performers own you.

Museum of Illusions

Rooms that argue with your eyes. Photos required. Laughing is the correct research method.

Griffith Observatory

The city below, the sign on the ridge. Free grounds. Sunset is a pilgrimage. Parking is the boss fight.

Universal Studios

Hogwarts on a hill, studio tour, rides that sell the movies back. A full day if you want more than a photo.

Santa Monica Pier

Ferris wheel, Pacific air, the week exhaling. Best at golden hour. The carnival is the point, not a bug.

What stayed on the roll.

Six chapters from a week that still felt unfinished. Not all of LA — just the frames I kept.

Disneyland

Gates, characters, a day that refuses to be ironic. Coco found me whether I planned it. Anaheim is a freeway away and worth the full day.

Stars underfoot

Hollywood Boulevard is crowded on purpose. You hunt a name, take the photo, keep walking. Entertainment history as sidewalk.

Rooms that lie

Museum of Illusions — every chamber a dare to your eyes. Laughing is research. I left questioning doorframes.

Griffith Observatory with the city below and HOLLYWOOD on the ridge. Free air. The view that explains why people stay.

Hogwarts on a hill

Universal sold the movies back to me. Studio tour, sets, a castle that should not exist in California and somehow does.

Pier at the end

Santa Monica — ocean, carnival, a Ferris wheel against the light. The week finally breathing. Pure California on purpose.

Still on the list.

Seven days and the map still has holes. These are the ones I owe a return.

Malibu

Coast north of Santa Monica. Beaches without the pier carnival. I stopped at the Ferris wheel and called the Pacific done.

Half day

The Getty

Architecture, gardens, a tram. Free entry, paid parking. A quiet I did not schedule between parks.

Half day

Downtown / Arts District

Murals, food halls, a different LA than Hollywood Boulevard. I stayed west and north.

Evening

Runyon / Hollywood sign hike

I photographed the sign from Griffith. I did not earn it on foot. Next time.

Morning

If you have another day.

Disneyland already ate one. These are the leaves that are not Hollywood Boulevard.

Disneyland (Anaheim)

Already on the map for a reason. Full day. Traffic both ways. Stay nearby if you hate early alarms after late fireworks.

Malibu / PCH

Pacific Coast Highway north. Beaches, overlooks, a slower California. Pair with Santa Monica if you only have half a day.

Half–full day

Second park day

California Adventure after Disneyland, or a deeper Universal with Express. Only if the first day felt truncated.
